Cold Filter Plugging Point Apparatus. Determines the low temperature flow characteristics of automotive diesel fuels and gas oils, including samples with flow improving additives, by measuring the temperature at which the sample ceases to flow through a wire mesh filter under standard test conditions. Complete test consists of Cold Filter Plugging Point Apparatus, Vacuum System (P3420-2) and Cooling Bath (P3420-5, -6, or -7). Includes Pyrex™ test jar with graduation, brass jacket with plastic support ring, plastic stopper, plastic insulating ring and spacer, pipette and brass filter unit with stainless steel fine wire mesh screen.
