IW Tremont Balance Weighing Paper: This unique media is an analytical purity grade cellulose based paper designed for conveying powder or gelatinous paste samples to and from balances and instruments. The surface is highly calendared (non treated gloss) to a smoothness which resists sample hold or moisture absorption. Manufactured with semi-opaque, milk white, calendared cellulose paper which is non-absorbent, nitrogen-free and finished with a high gloss. The cellulose material this weighing paper has sufficient structural integrity to resist tearing during quadrant folding or enveloping.Cellulose media consistently provides excellent lot-to-lot reproducibility. Prior to the cellulose media manufacturing process, the matieral chemistries are verified against a standard using GC techniques to ensure consistency. Primarily used for sample loading prior to weighing on a laboratory balance. Other applications include microscope slide slip sheets (between slide and sample), short-term moisture barrier, container liners and lamination backing for structural support.
