MilliporeSigma 1.10012.0001 MQuant™ Chromate Test Strip Kit with Auxiliary Reagents, Range: 3 to 100ppm (Pack of 100)

  • Chromate test kit works on the basis of a color formation which is generated by a redox reaction between chromate ions and diphenylcarbazide.
  • Chromate concentration is measured semiquantitatively by visual comparison of the reaction zone on test strip with the color scale.
  • Range (mg/L of Cr³): 3 to 100
  • Ideal for chromate determination in wastewater and discharge effluents like electroplating baths and those from pickling & tanning industries.
  • Kit includes 100 test strips, one 28mL bottle of Chromate Reagent and one test vessel.
  • Complete Kit (100 Tests)
  • Manufacturer Part No: 1100120001

Details

Chromate test kit works on the basis of a color formation which is generated by a redox reaction between chromate ions and diphenylcarbazide. Chromate ions oxidize diphenylcarbazone. The Cr³? (chromate) ions formed in the reduction reacts with the enolate form of diphenylcarbazone to give a red-violet complex. Chromate concentration is then measured semiquantitatively by visual comparison of the reaction zone of the test strip with the fields of a color scale.
