t.h.e. Desiccant is an all-purpose, high capacity drying agent. Can be used to dry air, carbon dioxide, natural gas, nonpolar hydrocarbons, and organic solvents. High adsorptive capacity. Adsorbs up to 35.8% of its weight in water. Packs easily into drying columns and desiccators. Spherical shape enhances moisture adsorption in drying tubes. Maintains physical integrity, even when fully hydrated. Eliminates messy slurries. Inert except to water, which reduces the possibility of introducing impurities. Indicating form contains silica gel plus cobaltous chloride indicator. Indicating drying agents are blue when dry and pink when hydrated. Repeatedly regenerative. Non-indicating form contains silica gel. To regenerate t.h.e. Desiccant, spread t.h.e Desiccant on a metal baking sheet. Heat at 120°C (248°F) for one to two hours.
