Details

This Immobilon-P Transfer Membrane is used for western blotting, binding assays, amino acid analysis, N-terminal protein sequencing, dot/slot blotting, glycoprotein, visualization, and lipopolysaccharide analysis. This membrane won’t crack or curl, and can be cut without fracturing. It also has low background, broad solvent compatibility, and superior staining capabilities. In addition, it can be reprobed multiple times. Rapid Immunodetection Protocol reduces detection times by up to 2 hours by eliminating membrane blocking and several wash steps with no loss of sensitivity or specificity. It has Hydrophobic PVDF chemistry and a pore size of 0.45µm. The filter dimensions are 26.5 x 3.75M and the filter is white in color with a plain surface. BSA Adsorption is 215µm/cm². Insulin Adsorption is 160µm/cm². Goat IgG Adsorption is 294µm/cm². Compatible stains include coomassie brilliant blue, amido black, india ink, ponceau-s red, and colloidal gold. Detection methods include Chemiluminescence, Chromogenic, and Radioactive. Primary binding mechanisms include electrostatic and hydrophobic.
