It is ideal for low-speed mixing of large volumes of media and buffer solutions on a magnetic stir plate. Adjusts easily to fit either a 10 or 20L carboy. No magnet to retrieve. The 3in (75mm) stir bar with a 1/2in (3mm) diameter is made of TFE. The 23-1/8in (588mm) shaft is made of polyvinylidene fluoride that is stainless steel reinforced.
