This 4oz (118mL) Whirl-Pak® flat wire bag with write-on strip measures 3 x 7-1/4in (7.5 x 18.5cm) and has a thickness of 2.25mil (0.057mm). It is made with one flat aluminum wire, rather than the traditional round wires. The flat wire provides a thicker tab, resulting in a heavier closure which is preferred in some applications. The aluminum wire features 'puncture proof tabs' that completely cover the wire ends, eliminating any sharp, cutting, exposed edges. The aluminum will not rust when coming in contact with water or other liquids. This bag features a white, write-on strip that makes sample identification easier and more convenient. White strip is easy to write on using an ordinary ballpoint pen, pencil, or felt-tip marker. The paper-like finish virtually eliminates ink smearing, and provides a surface that will accept a variety of writing instruments. Capacity is measured in fluid ounces when the bag is closed and tab is folded over three times. To assist in volume control, this bag has a 4oz and a 100mL fill line. Fill lines are approximate. Bag should not be used at temperatures above 180°F (82°C). Bag can be frozen to any temperature, even with liquid nitrogen (careful handling required after freezing). Sterile. Material: Polyethylene.
