Details

The Barnstead GenPure™ system delivers ultrapure 18.2 MΩ.cm water with consistent quality for the most demanding and sensitive applications. The xCAD remote dispenser provides flexibility and control. All GenPure systems exceed international standards ASTM Type I, ISO 3696 Grade 1, ASTM D1193 and CLSI-CLRW. Applications include Molecular Biology (e.g. Cell and Tissue Culture, PCR & DNA Sequencing and Electrophoresis) as well as Analytical Chemistry (e.g. HPLC, GC, GC-MS, ICP-MS, AA, TOC Analysis and Ion Chromatography).

The Barnstead GenPure™ water purification system features integral feed water monitoring of water conductivity cartridge life. Any readings which exceed the programmed limiting value triggers an alerted display which helps maximize your filter cartridge life. Measurement of the conductivity or resistivity of the water produced is ensured with integral conductivity cells which are carefully calibrated prior to each measurement via built-in reference resistance with cell constants at 0.01 cm-1. Temperature measurements are made by a platinum chip sensor with ± 0.1°C accuracy. All units are shipped ready-to-use with a feed water pressure switch, wall bracket, UV Lamp, ultrapure cartridge and a sterile filter. All models feature an Aquastop quick-connection which enables replacement cartridges to be installed within seconds -- even during operation.

These ultrapure water purification systems also provide online, real-time TOC measurement with UV intensity monitoring which provide for continual measurement of organic substances present in the water. Continuous monitoring of UV intensity removes the risk of false TOC values due to diminished UV intensity. A fault message alerts user when the UV lamp intensity is no longer sufficient for accurate TOC measurements. They also feature a high performance UV lamp assembly which reliably reduces the content of microorganisms and their metabolites. (UV Photo-Oxidation: 185/254nm). Operation is simple with an ergonomically designed control panel which tilts in to your desired position for clearly displayed readings and depressing of control keys. The backlit, ilumminated display features a four-line alphanumeric digital format.

Flow Rate: Up to 2L/Minute; Operating Pressure: 29-87psi (2-6bar); Electrical Requirements: 90-240V, 50/60Hz; Power Consumption: 0.1kW; Feed Water Connector: 3/4-Inch NPT; Dimensions: 14.6 x 13 x 24.2-Inches.

GLP Compliant Documentation
:
  • Real-time clock and code-protected operating system prevents unauthorized changes to system settings.
  • RS-232 interface with adjustable send-interval for safe data transfer of all measured data, faults, date and time to a computer or log printer
  • Digital microprocessor control automatically monitors and stores faults from the last four weeks.
  • USP-compliant conductivity measurement with automatic temperature compensation can be switched "On" or "Off".
