This complete Owl® P9DS-2 Penguin™ Water-Cooled Dual Gel Vertical Electrophoresis System casts and runs 1 or 2 gels in the same device. When used with the available combs, spacers, alumina plates and glass, this system is the perfect tool for SDS electrophoresis and 2-D electrophoresis. The 16cm width also makes this an easy system to integrate in a second dimension of 2-D electrophoresis procedure. The Owl® P9DS System is manufactured using time tested acrylic fabrication technology to provide a durable, long lasting system backed by a 3-year warranty. The design allows for a very simple clamping mechanism that makes loading glass cassettes and most manufacturers pre-cast gels trouble-free. The complete P9DS-2 Vertical Electrophoresis System includes an Upper Buffer Chamber (UBC) with an internal cooling core, a Lower Buffer Chamber (LBC), a SuperSafe™ lid with attached power supply leads, 4 blank glass plates, 4 notched glass plates, a 1.5mm thick spacer set, a blocking plate for single gel operation, a spacer placer and two 10-well combs and two 15-well combs, each with an 1.5mm thickness.
