Whatman™ Grade AE99 plain (white) cellulose nitrate membrane filters have excellent flexibility and low level of extractables to ensure sample integrity. The narrow pore size distribution of these filters provide for improved surface capture and analysis. The residue after filtration is found to be almost completely on the surface of the membrane and allows physical recovery of deposits and microscopic examination. Whatman™ membrane filters are the ideal laboratory filter for applications ranging from microbiological studies to filtration of aqueous solutions requiring retention of particle sizes from very fine to medium to coarse particulates.
