This Modular Cell Production Roller Apparatus Base Unit without All-Position Drive has 3 decks and 15 bottle positions and is designed to maximize production spacing. It accepts roller bottles from 108 to 121mm in diameter and up to 550mm in length. The Wheaton Modular Cell Production Apparatus allows large scale propagation of monolayer cell cultures in standard roller culture vessels. The control unit, housed in the base, contains a soft start speed control with a locking shaft to prevent changing of speed accidentally. A powerful DC motor drives the bottles through a series of durable non-slip belts to exacting speeds from 0.125 to 5.3RPM. High-quality rubber rollers are mounted on aluminum shafts. The shafts are mounted in permanently lubricated, sealed ball bearings that are designed for lifetime operation. This system consists of a base drive unit and five-position roller deck to which a second roller deck has been added, for a total of 3 decks and 15 bottle positions. Hard rubber casters allow easy moving and protect floor surfaces. The front wheels are equipped with locking devices to ensure stability. Additional 5-position decks can be mounted on the base to accommodate an increased number of roller vessels. Conforms to UL, CSA, and CE Standards. Supplied without roller vessels.
