Millipore's 37mm Aerosol Analysis Monitors are transparent, disposable, plastic filter holders which are assembled with a Type MF mixed cellulose esters membrane filter. A thin cellulose support seals the filter between monitor sections to distribute sample flow evenly over the filter surface. The three-part design of these aerosol analysis monitors holds the membrane filter in place when the top section is removed for open aerosol sampling. 37mm Millipore® MF-Millipore mixed cellulose ester membrane filters and Millipore Mitex PTFE membrane filters are the recommended filter refills for Millipore 37mm Aerosol Analysis Monitors. Use 25mm MF Millipore membrane filters (MIL-AAWP02500) for 25mm Millipore 25mm Aerosol Analysis Monitors. Replacement absorbent cellulose membrane support pads are also available for both 25mm and 37mm membrane filters.
Millipore stainless steel vacuum filter holders are designed particulate contamination monitoring and analysis. Stainless steel construction is fully autoclavable for sterile filtering and testing applications. These Millipore flow limiting orifice devices create quantitative airflow through any Millipore membrane filter for airborne contamination analysis. The flow limiting orifice device is threaded into the outlet of a Millipore Aerosol Analysis Monitor Filter Holder or Aerosol Adapter. Air flow remains at a constant rate when required vacuum level is applied. Ratings are accurate to within approximately 15%. For greater precision, calibrate the orifice with a flowmeter at the actual working vacuum level.
Millipore Fluoropore™ PTFE membrane filters for airborne radioactive particle monitoring provide high collection efficiency, extremely low pressure drop and higher throughput capacity for improved data collection. Unlike fibrous filter media that trap particles in their matrix, Fluoropore™ hydrophobic PTFE membrane filters collect particles on their surface. This surface collection provides better detection efficiencies and lower FWHM measurements*. The smaller 3µm pore size provides low FWHM. The larger 5µm pore size has very low pressure drop and greater throughput capacity, which minimizes the number of filter changeouts.
The Whatman™ PM 2.5 PTFE membrane filter is a high-purity, thin PTFE membrane centered within a sequentially-numbered and chemically-resistant polypropylene support ring for PM 2.5 ambient air monitoring. Whatman™ PM 2.5 membranes have low tare mass for accurate gravimetric determinations. The thermally stable design eliminates curling keeps the membrane flat and makes the filter robot-friendly. The PM 2.5 PTFE membranes are manufactured under clean room conditions. These chemically resistant low chemical background filters permit sensitive interference-free determinations.
