Bio Plas® 7010 Astral™ Sterile Inoculation Loop, Disposable, Blue, Loop Volume: 10µL

This disposable blue 10µL Astra™l Loop is made for use with the Astra™l Inoculation System. It is used in quantitative procedures such as sampling, urine counts, serial dilutions, and bacteriological inoculation. The Astra™l Loop eliminates the metal or wire loop flaming step and the hazards of spattering, cross-contamination, the risk of infectious pathogens caused as a result of aerosols, and the hazards of open flame. During manufacturing, the Astra™l Loop is inserted into racks which have 96 individual tubular chambers. When the 96 chambers are filled with the Astra™l Loops, they are then hermetically sealed with a thin plastic membrane. A dust cover is then placed over the rack, heat shrunk, and sterilized by irradiation. The Astra™l Loop may be quickly extracted from the sterilized rack by using the Astra™l Handle. The Astra™l Loop is flexible enough to facilitate streaking but rigid enough to penetrate the media for inoculation. Prepared plates can be inoculated in an extremely rapid rate in any laboratory setting or condition, whether it be anerobic chambers, fume hoods, satellite labs, or in the field.
