Model 5430 microcentrifuge with rotary knob includes a 24-place mini-prep spin column rotor with lid (FA-45-24-11-Kit) for 1.5/2.0 tubes. This unique cross-over centrifuge combines the best features of a microcentrifuge (small footprint) and multipurpose centrifuge (versatility) in one instrument. It can also accommodate a fixed-angle rotor for 15/50mL conical tubes, Vacutainer, 10 to 50mL OakRidge tubes, cryo and HPLC vials, as well as a swingbucket rotor for MTP and PCR plates. Until now, this has only been possible with large multipurpose centrifuges. Model 5430 has a rotary knob that provides quick parameter changes, as well as a metal rotor bowl for easy cleaning and an adjustable alarm volume. It has a high centrifugation speed of up to 30130 x g (17500rpm), with an automatic rotor recognition with speed limitation adn an automatic rotor imbalance detection. The menu-driven operation with a large backlit LCD display makes the Model 5430 ultra easy to use with full-digit display of time and speed. It is capable of saving up to 50 programs with program names using 5 program keys for ease-of-operation. It has a SHORT Spin cycle for Quick Runs that is programmable to desired speed.
