To solve any chemical compatibility issues against solvents such as glacial acetic acid using in making a reference electrolyte, a specialized organic phase pH electrode was developed. The HI1151B is a double junction, refillable pH electrode in a glass body. The green cap was changed to polypropylene. The internal seals that isolate the connection of the internal electrode indicating wire to the cable have been changed to TVF thermoplastic elastomer. To further protect the internal portion of the pH electrode a resin is used to seal the polypropylene head to the glass body.
