Tryptone Glucose Extract Broth is a non-selective medium used to detect total heterotrophic microorganisms in water and other liquids. The media is a medium amber, clear to slightly opalescent liquid. Applications include beer, bioburden testing, bottled water, cider, clinical lab, cosmetics, environmental analysis, food and beverage, industrial QC, laboratory filtration, soft drink, sport drink, sterility testing, water monitoring, and wine. Applicable devices include MF-method, Microfil, Milliflex, and MicropreSure. Colonies appear clear to creamy white, and some may produce pigment. Incubation temperature is 28°C - 35°C and storage temperature is 2°C - 10°C. Incubation time is 18h to 120h. The pH @ 25 °C is 7.0 ± 0.2. The volume of the ampoule is 2mL. There are 50 tests per pack. It has a 12 month shelf life and a certificate is included. EMD Millipore #: MHA000P2T.
