The Millex® HPF HV syringe filter includes both a graduated glass fiber prefilter (10.0 to 0.7µm) to remove larger particles and a 0.45µm membrane filter for fine filtration. This combination of media provides two to four times greater throughput than standard syringe filters without prefiltration media, especially when filtering particle-laden solutions. Manufactured with a low-extractables polyethylene housing. Includes a hydrophilic Durapore® PVDF membrane which is designed for clarifying proteinaceous solutions with high particulate levels.
