The Nalgene ® clear plastic CryoSleeve measures 10 13/16 inch and is made of polyvinyl chloride. It is used to enclose a Nalgene® CryoCane™ for extra security during handling and storage. It is a direct replacement for the cardboard sleeve. The sleeve allows quick location of empty spaces in the cane and easy identification of a particular vial or vials without removing the sleeve. It will not become brittle while frozen. WARNING! Do not use cryogenic vials for storage in the liquid phase of liquid nitrogen unless correctly sealed in Nunc CryoFlex™ tubing. Such use may cause entrapment of liquefied nitrogen inside the vial and lead to pressure build-up resulting in possible explosion or biohazard release. Use appropriate safety procedures as outlined in the Nalgene® Cryopreservation Manual when handling and disposing of vials. Request Lit.
