This non-sterile Whirl-Pak® Nuclear bag without wire tabs measures 6 x 10in (15 x 25.4cm) with a thickness of 2.5mil (0.064mm). It is specially designed to protect a dosimeter from moisture and contamination when working in a nuclear power plant or other hazardous area. The 1-1/2in (3.8cm) wide bold, red stripes make the bag highly visible so it will be seen quickly if it falls into the cooling water. The dosimeter can be read easily through the clear polyethylene, so there is no need to remove it. The strong polyethylene won’t break and is SEG incinerable. Capacity is measured in fluid ounces when the bag is closed and tab is folded over three times. Volume and dimensions are approximate; bag should not be used at temperatures above 180°F (82°C).
