This Owl® EC-3000XL power supply is simple to use, multi-purpose and lightweight. It is designed to provide constant voltage, current, or power in both manual and programmed modes of operation commonly used in electrophoresis applications. It is ideal for use with DNA/RNA, protein and blotting electrophoresis. One to four sets of electrophoresis cells can be connected in parallel and run simultaneously. The EC-3000XL can deliver up to 400W of total output power. When operating in any constant mode, the power supply automatically limits the other parameters to either the power supply maximum, or a lower limit if set by the user. If this non-constant limit is reached, the power supply will automatically switch control modes, controlling the limit parameter. Note: The EC-3000XL will not crossover when the unit is in constant current, constant power, or constant voltage mode. The only time this unit will control for temperature as an upper limit is when the unit is in constant temperature mode. In this way, the EC-3000XL protects your electrophoresis cells from damaging over power conditions. The EC-3000XL power supply also provides for timed and volt-hour operation in all control modes and allows an automatic completion in the event of a power loss if enabled by the user. The supply features a power-off memory to retain settings after shut-down as well as a stackable design to save benchtop space. It also has a soft-touch key pad with a large LCD display and 4 jacks.
