This S1S-45R notched glass plate measures 20cm wide x 45cm long x 0.48cm high. It is designed for use with the Owl® S4S Aluminum Backed Sequencing Vertical Electrophoresis System and SGC-1 and SGC-2 Sequencing Gel Casting Systems. Notched glass has two 'ears' that are left behind when a cut is made in the middle of the top of the glass that allow the gel and samples to make contact with the upper buffer chamber. This plate faces the chamber during electrophoresis. Spacers are placed over the 'ears' of the plate when casting vertical gels. Buffer accesses the gel between the ears. Plate Material: Glass.
