This urine preservation system features a sterile, leak resistant, polypropylene container with a boric acid tablet. It is designed to preserve urine specimens for culture up to 72 hours without refrigeration. This boric acid container provides a controlled environment to ensure no significant increase or decrease of microorganisms during the transport of urine for culture. Stabilizes urine specimen for up to 72 hours making urine culture results more representative of the specimen at the time of collection. No specimen transfer is required so it eliminates messy urine transfer and additional container cost. This 90mL sterile specimen container has a 53mm mouth diameter. The wider 53mm opening is especially suited for women during pregnancy and is useful for older and/or overweight patients. The Bio-Tite®, dual threaded cap makes for a leak resistant seal for utmost confidence, even in harsh transport and pneumatic tube systems.
