This Chromato-Vue® mid size UV viewing base cabinet provides a darkroom environment for viewing fluorescent materials. Designed to accommodate one or two of the EL series 8-watt lamps, use of two lamps illuminates the cabinet's interior from two sides of the cabinet. Lamps come with a universal plug which connects directly to the C-65 cabinet, plus a supplementary power cord to plug into a line current for operating the lamp in other applications. Includes an interior overhead white light and the bottom panel of the cabinet is removable. Lamps are made with a durable, scratch resistant Metal housing and are removable from the cabinet for use in other applications. Soft Rubber viewport and contrast control filter that absorbs UV energy to protect the eyes. Lightweight access curtain blocks external light. A camera mount can be used for photodocumentation. Molded, flexible viewport has a built-in contrast control filter that blocks UV energy and eliminates "blue haze". Light-up on/off switch for master power and a separate internal white light switch are mounted on the cabinet top. Large front entrance allows easy insertion of samples. Bottom floor panel is easily removed for placement over large samples or transilluminators. Designed for thin layer chromatography, non destructive testing, inspection, mineralogy, fluorescence.
