This ultraviolet translinker features a large shortwave ultraviolet CL-1000 crosslinker and a M-20 UV transilluminator built in to the crosslinker cabinet. Crosslinker supplies overhead and on/off controls for the transilluminator are located on the crosslinker panel. An ultraviolet blocking cover is included with the transilluminator. Crosslinker utilizes shortwave UV energy to bond DNA to a medium. Transilluminator uses UV tube in high/low intensity styles. The low setting reduces photonicking or photo bleaching of gels samples during prep work, while the high setting may be used in analytical documentation work. It features a UV-blocking viewing window and internal interlocking safety system that is safety fused for automatic shutoff. The system’s internal microprocessor measures and controls the UV output. Includes five 8-watt dual bipin discharge type tubes for ultraviolet source. Applications in UV crosslinking, fluorescence of stained gels. ETL and ETLc safety certified.
