Details

This UV PCR cabinet controls potential PCR contamination with built-in UV lamps for inactivation of DNA between experiments. Shortwave UV source positioned as overhead UV. UV is controlled with a key switch and 30 min timer to decontaminate apparatus and chamber with the shortwave UV. Shortwave ultraviolet irradiation can be used as a standard laboratory practice to reduce surface and airborne contaminants in the chamber. A safety shut-off switch automatically turns the ultraviolet light off when the door is open. Antimicrobial coated stainless steel reduces bacterial growth, stain- and fingerprint-resistant as well. Built-in power outlets allow operation of equipment for use in PCR applications. Applications in PCR preparation and amplification, microbial research. Operational ratings - unit intended to be used indoors, altitude must not exceed 2000m, ambient temperature not to exceed 5 to 40°C (41 to 104°F), relative humidity not to exceed 80% for temperatures upto 31°C (88°F) decreasing linearly to 50% relative humidity at 40°C (104°F), main supply voltage fluctuations upto ±10% of the nominal voltage, pollution rating 2 or better for laboratory areas.
