Whatman’s Minifold™ I “Dot-Blot” array-type blotting devices are easy to assemble systems for applying multiple samples of DNA, RNA or protein to blotting membranes. The novel O-ring design ensures discrete dot formation without leakage of samples by cross lateral flow. This unique array-type blotting system generates even, uniform dots that eliminate uneven test areas resulting from manual sample application. The Minifold I “Dot-Blot” array-type blotting system consists of four basic components which includes: Complete (acrylic) 96-well sample plate, a filter support plate, a vacuum plenum and a metal clamping plate. Also includes (5) sheets of Protran™ BA 85 Blotting Membrane Sheets and (5) sheets of 3MM Chr Blotting Membrane Sheets. The Minifold I “Dot-Blot” System is compatible with multichannel pipettes. Plates are interchangeable and can be purchased as accessory plates or in conjunction with a complete system. The tension on the clamping is adjustable, permitting use of a variety of blotting and filtration media.
