Application: Recommended for DNA binding and purification. Very effective in filtering finely precipitated proteins. Can be used in conjunction with GF/D as a prefilter for the successful clarification of extremely ‘difficult’ biochemical solutions and fluids and nucleic acids. Highly suitable for use in applications involving air filtration and for gravimetric analysis of volatile materials where ignition is involved Whatman Grade GF/F filter from Cytiva is manufactured from pure borosilicate glass. GF/F offers very fine particle retention and good loading capacity and flow rate. 0.7 µm nominal particle retention Served as the basis filter for EPA standard for the toxicity characteristic leaching procedure
