This complete vacuum filtration assembly is recommended for routine filtration of organic solvents, corrosive liquids and the removal of particulates from HPLC solvents. Includes a coarse porosity (40 to 60µm) fritted glass support base, a PTFE transfer adapter, an anodized aluminum clamp and a 1L filter flask. Ground glass connection eliminates phthalate contamination that can occur from silicone or neoprene stoppers. Drip tip on the support bases extends below the hose connection preventing filtrate from entering the vacuum line. Units have a number 2 hose connection for ¼-inch (6mm) I.D. flexible tubing. Glass components manufactured from Wheaton-33® low extractable borosilicate glass that conforms to USP Type I and ASTM E 438 Type I, Class A requirements. Eliminates the traditional "pour and wait" filtration method. Transfer adapter draws the solvent directly from the reagent bottle when vacuum is applied.
