- Autoclavable at 121°C (249.8°F) for 20 minutes for sterile applciations. Loosen or remove caps to allow pressure equalization to prevent vial collapse.

The Wheaton Cryule® cryogenic vial has a round bottom and external threads to minimize chance of contamination. The screw cap attaches to the outside of the vial for more efficient utilization of vial capacity and protects the lip and user's hands from contamination from vial contents. The vertical inner wall and conical inner bottom facilitate filling and provide maximum product retrieval. Ideal for preserving biological specimens under mechanical refrigeration at temperatures as low as -196°C (-320.8°F). Can also be used as mailing tubes. Autoclavable at 121°C (249.8°F) for 20 minutes, but caps must be sufficiently loosened or removed to allow pressure equalization upon cooling to prevent wall collapse. Non-sterile. Capacity: 2mL.
