Cytiva's Whatman™ ME Gridded Mixed Cellulose Ester Membrane Filters for Microbiological Quality Control

Cytiva's Whatman™ ME gridded mixed cellulose ester hydrophilic membrane filters are designed for aqueous samples and are ideal for analytical methods requiring qualitative, enrichment method microorganism counts for the detection of microbial contamination in foods, beverages, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and other consumer products. Within the qualitative enrichment method, these filters are incubated on a nutrient medium and then the individual colonies can then be evaluated. This method is also suitable for large sample volumes and low microorganism counts. All membranes used for microbiological quality control are tested systematically for bubble point, flow rate, bacterial retention, recovery rate, and sterility to ensure reliable, consistent results. Features and benefits of these membrane filters include high mechanical strength, a high flow rate and individually wrapped sterile packaging. Membrane filters are furnished with a high-contrast, 3.1mm spaced grid. Temperature tolerances allow effective use of these membrane filters up to 125°C. Membrane filters within this series are also available in dispenser boxes with 100 numbered membrane filters for easy removal and safe handling with the Whatman™ Membrane-Butler. Colors Available Include: White with Black Grid, Black with White Grid & Green with Black Grid.
