Cytiva's Whatman™ Optitran™ Nitrocellulose Blotting Membrane Filter Sheets

Cytiva's Whatman™ Optitran™ BA-S Series nitrocellulose blotting membrane filters consists of 100% pure nitrocellulose supported by an inert polyester nonwoven material within the membrane which creates an excellent reinforced membrane filter. This added support does not affect transfer conditions or results and gives the membrane exceptional handling characteristics, allowing it to be re-probed repeatedly. The Optitran™ nitrocellulose membrane filter provides high sensitivity with very low non-specific binding. Using standard nitrocellulose protocols, stringent washing and blocking conditions are not necessary. Optitran™ BA-S Series nitrocellulose blotting membrane filters combine flexibility, strength, and excellent signal-to-noise ratios, which are especially beneficial when experiments involve repeated stripping and re-probing. Easily sterilized by autoclaving with a liquid cooling cycle.
