Globe Scientific Quick-Prep™ Urine Test Kits

The Globe Scientific Quick-Prep urine test kits are compact, convenient and include all necessary components for the microscopic examination of urinary sediment. Urine sediments are produced from urine that has been centrifuged to concentrate the substances in it at the bottom of a centrifuge tube.The fluid at the top of the centrifuge tube is discarded and the drops of fluid remaining are examined under a microscope.

Cells, crystals and other substances within the centrifuged urine sample are counted and reported as either (a) the number observed per low power field (LPF) or per high power field (HPF). When present in the sample, some substances are estimated as "Many", "Moderate" or "Few" like bacteria, crystals and epithelial cells which include the following:

• Bacteria, Parasites and Yeast
• Red Blood Cells (RBCs)
  
• White Blood Cells (WBCs)
• Casts
• Crystals
• Trichomonas
