Bi-metal dial thermometers are available in both Celcius, Fahrenheit single temperature ranges as well as dual-ranges. Bi-metal dial thermometers feature stainless steel construction with a polycarbonate lens and include stainless steel bi-metal probe stem. Typically with bi-metal dial thermometers, for correct temperature readings, the thermometer's probe stem must be immersed at least 50mm in liquids and 100mm in gases. Many bi-metal dial type thermometers also feature an external adjustment nut which allows for simple thermometer recalibration. Dial type bi-metal thermometers are also availbe with certification of Test and Calibration indicating accuracy traceable to NIST and DKD standards.
Bi-Metal surface thermometers are available in a variety of temperature ranges in both fahrenheit, celcius and dual temperature ranges. These surface thermometers feature bi-metallic coil movement and an aluminum dial. Bi-metal surface thermometers typically have stainless steel 304 case construction with a single tin spring mount. Surface temperature thermometers are ideal for pipes, griddles, hot plates and any other surface where temperatures are difficult to measure using traditional glass or probe type thermometers.
