The antibiogram allows rational and selective chemotherapy. The test discs can be coated with chemotherapeutic agents, placed on the innoculated nutrient agar and incubated. The size of the inhibition zone is a measure for the effectiveness of the substances.

Westergren ESR Determination Tubes and Kits are designed for blood testing of erythrocyte sedimentation rates or ESR. ESR is the sediumentation rate of blood cells within a one-hour period of testing. The Westergren ESR test is a measurement of inflammation and is one of the most common blood test known in hematology.
