Prices & Specifications

Prices on the Capitol Scientific website are updated on a regular basis and subject to change without notice. The prices shown are current U.S. prices. If you are interested in a long-term pricing agreement and would like to sign-up for our Customer Loyalty Pricing Program, please contact Customer Service for assistance. Prices charged will be those quoted and accepted at the time of order processing and acceptance. Product specifications are subject to change without notice due to manufacturer design improvements and changes.

Merchantability of Products, Use of Products and Shelf Life of Chemicals

Capitol Scientific makes no warranties or guarantees, expressed or written, as to the merchantability or specific use of any product it sells. The shelf life of any of the chemicals we sell can only be warranted and/or guaranteed by the manufacturer of said product. Valid shelf life of any chemical which has such a feature is indicated by an expiration date printed directly on the product’s out packaging and will normally include a lot number.

Precursor Chemical Laboratory Apparatus

As a chemical and laboratory distributor in the State of Texas, we must adhere to Texas Administrative Code (TAC), Title 37, Part I, Chapter 13, Subchapter B, Precursors and Apparatus If you are purchasing precursor glassware from us, whether online or via Customer Service or Sales departments, please read this information and supply the necessary permits. Any customer placing an online order for precursor chemical laboratory apparatus will be contacted prior to the order being processed. Minimum Orders

All orders are appreciated and no minimum order is required. There is a $10 Order Processing Fee, which will be waived on any order over $150.

Payment Terms

Established Credit Accounts/Customers - Terms of payment are Net 30 days from the date of invoice with established credit.

Your tax exempt certificate must include Full Name, EIN, an Authorized Signature (an officer or trustee) and their Title.

Credit Cards - We accept Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®, and Discover® credit cards; procurement cards; checks; and money orders. Credit card charges are prepaid at time of shipment and added to the final invoice. All credit card submissions online are encrypted and secure. You may also contact us at 512.836.1167 and provide your credit card number over the phone. We cannot accept credit card numbers via email or fax.

New Accounts

We welcome new accounts with an approved credit application. For your security and our own, our policy does not allow us to process first-time credit card orders when the shipping and billing addresses differ. Don't worry; you have options:

• We can ship your merchandise to your billing address, provided it is a registered commercial address.
• You can call customer service to provide a credit card that has matching billing and shipping addresses.
• You can send us a copy of your company's W9 so our verification department can approve the order (this may cause a delay of 3-5 days in processing your order).
• You can make payment via a wire transfer. If you'd prefer to make a wire transfer, please contact customer service to obtain our banking information.
• You can apply to establish a Net30 account. Simply download, complete and submit the application found above. The credit review process time depends on the speed of response of the trade references you provide.

Return Policy

Customer satisfaction is our highest priority at Capitol Scientific. If you have received a product that is defective or that was incorrectly shipped as a result of an error on Capitol Scientific's part, you may request a return within 15-days of the ship date. In order to process your return, please call 512.836.1167 to request a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) Request Form. If you ordered the wrong product or made a mistake in ordering, Capitol Scientific reserves the right not to issue an RMA.

Capitol Scientific reserves the right to reverse any credit issued to Subscriber: (a) for any Product not returned after authorization and requested by Capitol Scientific; or, (b) if, upon return, such Product is determined by Capitol Scientific not to be defective. Capitol Scientific will grant full credit for: (a) Products not supplied in accordance with Subscriber's orders; and, (b) Products which are defective at the time of receipt by the Subscriber. Capitol Scientific will grant partial credit for Products ordered in error, with the exceptions noted below.

RMA request approvals for all lot-controlled, specialty chemicals and sterile products require confirmation that the items being returned have a minimum of 8-months (240-days) of shelf life remaining prior to expiration. This is determined by the manufacturer's lot number and specific expiration date for that lot.

Product returns for Products ordered in error are subject to a 25% restocking charge plus any applicable charges for necessary inspection, reworking or refurbishing, or for items not normally cataloged by Capitol Scientific. Hazardous materials will not be approved for return, unless Capitol Scientific or one of its vendors shipped a product other than what was ordered. Hazardous materials authorized for return must be packed, labeled and shipping in accordance with DOT regulations governing transportation of hazardous material and any other applicable requirements.

Products authorized may be returned to Capitol Scientific within 15 days of the ship date for replacement or adjustment. To assure prompt handling, please obtain a Return Goods Authorization Number ("RGA Number") from Capitol Scientific (see above) and reference this number on return shipping documents. Returns made without the RGA Number will be returned to sender, freight collect.

Capitol Scientific will not grant credit for: (a) Products which have been discontinued; (b) Products which are personalized or customized; (c) Non-Capitol Scientific line products supplied to Subscriber as an accommodation, including, without limitation, third party purchases; (d) Products not purchased from Capitol Scientific; (e) Refrigerated or temperature controlled Products; (f) Products which are outdated, shelf-worn, used or defaced and, therefore, unsuitable for return to stock and resale as new; (g) reagents, diagnostics, or chemicals which have been opened; and (h) Products that have been shipped outside the United States.

Order Cancellation

Cancellations of Orders Prior to Shipment:Subscriber may cancel an order prior to pickup by Designated Carrier at Supplier's shipping point. In such case, no payment will be due Capitol Scientific. Exceptions: Orders for Made-To-Order items may not be cancelled once we receive confirmation from you to proceed. Requests to cancel orders due to items having an extended lead time/backorder, but after we have received your approval to proceed, are subject to cancellation approval by Capitol Scientific; if approved, a 25% cancellation fee will apply.

Cancellations of Orders in Relation to Shipment and Prior to Acceptance: Subsequent to pickup by the Designated Shipper, but prior to Acceptance of Products, as provided above, Subscriber may cancel an Order by contacting Capitol Scientific within the five (5) day Acceptance Period provided above. Capitol Scientific will provide Subscriber with disposition instructions, and may charge the Subscriber for shipping expenses and restocking fees.

Shipment Charges

Shipping charges are determined at the time of checkout, based upon your desired shipping method. By law, hazmat fees will be added to your order for all hazardous chemicals and related laboratory products. If required, we may alter your ship method to LTL freight. We will notify you should we need to make a change in your shipping method. In either case, your final shipping costs may differ. We will not ship hazardous chemicals to residential addresses under any circumstances.

Shipment Claims

Please inspect all shipments upon receipt. If damage has occurred, please keep the carton and all of the packing materials. Please report the details immediately to the carrier and contact our Customer Service Department. If upon opening a shipment you discover concealed damage, please request a carrier inspection within 15 days of delivery and contact our Customer Service Department.

Warranty Policy

Orders placed for Products on this Web site are subject only to the relevant manufacturer's standard commercial warranty terms in effect at the time of Order placement by Subscriber, which warranty terms shall be made available to Subscriber to the fullest extent possible through Capitol Scientific. We warrant only that the Products delivered shall conform substantially with the description of such Products as provided on our Web site. THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND WE MAKE NO OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Your exclusive remedy against Capitol Scientific and any Supplier with respect to Products proved to our satisfaction to be defective or nonconforming shall be the replacement of such Product without charge or refund of the purchase price, upon the return of such Product in accordance with our instructions prior to Acceptance.

IN NO EVENT SHALL CAPITOL SCIENTIFIC, CAPITOL SCIENTIFIC'S SUBSIDIARIES OR AFFILIATES, OR ANY SUPPLIER BE LIABLE UNDER ANY LEGAL THEORY (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY IN TORT OR WARRANTY OF ANY KIND) FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS), EVEN IF WE OR ANY OF OUR SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES OR SUPPLIERS HAD NOTICE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IF WE DELIVER CUSTOM GOODS FOR YOU BASED ON INSTRUCTIONS, SPECIFICATIONS, OR OTHER DIRECTIONS YOU PROVIDE TO US, CAPITOL SCIENTIFIC, OUR SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR THE LACK OF SUFFICIENCY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR QUALITY OF THE GOODS TO THE EXTENT ATTRIBUTABLE TO SUCH INSTRUCTIONS, SPECIFICATIONS, OR OTHER DIRECTIONS
