Felix Ware

President / CEO

When Lee Williams started a new company in 1963, he could not have known that someday he would hire and mentor his future grandson, and in fact would entrust the company to Felix when he purchased Capitol Scientific in 2000. Capitol Scientific has flourished under Felix’s vision and leadership, being ranked in the Austin Business Journal’s Fast 50 for 2012, and the Inc. 5000 List of America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies in both 2011 and 2012. The company has expanded its facilities and its employee base as revenues continue to grow year-on-year. Felix was also honored as a finalist in 2012 ABJ’s Best CEO in Central Texas. A fan of the University of Texas Longhorns, Felix’s spare time is spent with his family, including three young children, and he is an avid golfer.

Sean Meier

Warehouse Manager

Sean joined the Capitol Scientific family in 2012 where he quickly learned our warehouses processes at that time. He quickly became our Warehouse Manager and has continued to bring improvement to fulfillment, shipping and receiving processes and assist in logistical improvement decisions involving three to four warehouses at any given time.

Brandon Evans

Software Security Engineer

After working at Facebook and some other global tech companies for a number of years, Brandon decided to seek a working home with a smaller company within the Austin. His search led him to an interview with Capitol Scientific where it was an easy decision to bring him on board. He is now bringing his passion for tech and software development to a company he is valued in and the positive calm he possesses is helping to change an already great culture. In Brandon's natural habitat, you will find him, "being a nerd — learning about new technologies and coding — or searching for new music and good tunes to listen to. Otherwise, he is probably just 'chillin'."

Jessica Cortez

Sales Support Manager, NA

Jessica has been with Capitol Scientific for 6 years, starting as a Customer Service Representative and moving into the Sales Support Manager role within her first year with the company. She has a BA from Pepperdine University in Art History, and an MA in Art Education from UT Austin. She now resides in San Antonio, TX with her husband and enjoys traveling with him in her spare time.

Angela Mincey

Business Development Manager

Angela Mincey has been with Capitol Scientific since 2014. She is originally from Statesboro, Georgia and has lived in Austin since 2013. She is the company's Business Development and Inside Sales Manager who holds a Bachelors in Business Administration from Shorter University and a certificate in Professional Project Management from the University of Texas. Her professional background includes inventory and asset management, records management, and procurement within corporate and government environments. Angela uses her knowledge and experience to help our client-partners successfully navigate towards meeting their strategic goals and objectives. She enjoys forging interpersonal relationships and finding innovative solutions in supporting our client-partners. In business development, Angela works with all industries and also specializes in helping those within the Cannabis/CBD/Hemp industry to strategically meet their needs. She is a mother of three who enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and exploring the great outdoors. She is proud to be a member of the dedicated Capitol Scientific Team.

Abel Hernandez

Sales Manager, Greater Houston and LA Gulf

Abel Hernandez earned his BSc in Biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Abel joined Capitol Scientific in 2017, bringing his experience in microbiology and analytical chemistry. He works with his customers in the Houston greater area to find tailored solutions that fit their specific needs. Territories managed: SE Texas/Gulf Coast, Louisiana.

Larissa Bush

Technical Sales Manager, North America

Larissa Bush joined Capitol Scientific as a Sales Engineer with an extensive semiconductor background, with experience in both capital equipment and wet process chemicals. Prior to joining our team, Larissa was an applications engineer with STI (a spin-off of Texas Instruments) where she acted as liaison between sales and engineering. In this role she assisted Tier 1 semiconductor customers worldwide in qualification of wafer inspection tools, growing the business by conducting equipment performance demonstrations based on customer process parameters. Larissa has also served as applications engineer with JT Baker Microelectronics and serviced US customers in qualifying photoresist strippers and copper compatible etch residue removal chemistries. Larissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. She resides in Dallas with her husband and two children, and occasionally still finds time to swim competitively.

Kelly Hawks

Sales Manager, North America

Capitol Scientific has been Kelly’s happy home for most of his career. He has been with Capitol Scientific for two decades, first providing customer service before transitioning to outside sales and then to his current position as sales manager, North America. He enjoys working with his customers and greatly values and nurtures those relationships. His success is evident when looking at the long terms of those relationships. Kelly graduated from Missouri State with a BS degree in environmental studies, but is a confirmed TCU Horned Frog football freak stemming all the way back to his first year in little league football. He has a wife and daughter, Natalie.

Jennifer Hewgley

Marketing & Website Manager

Jennifer has been with Capitol Scientific since 2008 and, after starting in customer service, has worked in many different departments before moving into her current role as Marketing & Website Manager. Her biggest goal, here and at home, are to achieve continual process improvement regardless of the challenges, build and nurture relationships with love and do her best to foster an environment of embracing change and growth while honoring the traditions with integrity that brought us to where we are. Being present has allowed her to hear our employees, customers and feedback from industry so that she has a clearer picture of where need is taking us and helping find the change it takes to get there. She is a happy native Austinite and still resides in the area with her wife, children, grandchildren, dogs. Life is a journey and she does the best she is able to enjoy hers through singing, painting, dancing, meditating, being in the sunshine of life as much as possible and bringing love to all those she crosses paths with, ever remembering that the human condition is fragile and must be taken care of like her roses.

Charles Bunker

Chief Financial Officer

Charles serves as Capitol Scientific’s Chief Financial Officer. Charles has done it all, with nearly 40 years of experience in public accounting, internal auditing, financial and accounting consulting, and small business ownership. He’s worked in the Big 4 audit firms, small and mid-size firms, and a Fortune 1000 company. Charles states that his goal is to streamline business processes and improve and update internal controls. He, like everyone behind the scenes at Capitol Scientific, is dedicated to doing his part and more to provide each of our customers with an exceptional experience. In his time off, Charles keeps fit by attending spin classes regularly, and few people know this, but he fancies himself quite the pool shark! Don’t bet against him next time you see him with a cue stick!

Bo Myers

Sales Manager, San Antonio

Bo graduated with a Masters of Science degree from Texas Tech University in 1975, specializing in economic entomology. His sales career started in 1977 working outside sales for Staffels Corp. , a pesticide and fertilizer manufacturer, including specialty both Organic and Inorganic chemicals. He was promoted to sales manager from 1979 to 1981, and after leaving, entered the industrial chemical field when he was hired by Accron Chemical in 1981 and quickly promoted to sales manager in 1983. Dixie Chemical purchased Accron Chemical in 1985, and formed DX Distributors where he continued as branch manager until 1998. He was hired by Tem-Tex Solvents in 1998 to expand their industrial chemical line to include Inorganic chemistry, and after retiring in 2013, was hired in 2014 by Capitol Scientific Inc. to manage sales efforts in the San Antonio Market Area. He resides in Universal City, Texas with his wife April.
