President and CEO
When Lee Williams founded Capitol Scientific in 1963, little did he know he was building a company that would span multiple generations. Lee’s future grandson, Felix Ware, would expand the business far beyond what Lee built those 60 years ago. Felix joined Lee at Capitol Scientific in 1990, running sales and operations until purchasing the company from his grandfather in 2000. Over the last two decades, Capitol Scientific has flourished under Felix’s vision and leadership, especially in technology-related improvements. The company has been ranked in the Austin Business Journal’s Fast 50 and has made Inc. 5000’s List of America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies for several consecutive years. The Austin Business Journal has also honored Felix as one of the Best CEOs in Central Texas. It is a testament to the business he owns and the legacy he leads.
Executive Vice President
Dean leads Sales and Marketing operations for Capitol Scientific. He has decades of experience in C-Suite positions of national b2c companies, allowing him to contribute to other areas of Capitol Scientific including: operations, finance, legal, HR, and IT. Dean’s expertise in transforming mid-market businesses was well received when he joined the company in 2021. He has created and retooled key staff positions to prepare Capitol Scientific for rapid growth and strategic expansion. Dean’s team of outside sales, inside sales and customer support professionals are hyper-focused on Capitol Scientific’s “Customer First” mission.
Financial Controller
Mysti heads the finance and accounting operations for Capitol Scientific, bringing a wealth of expertise and leadership beyond her financial acumen. With a Bachelor of Science degree, a Master of Business Administration, and a Master’s degree in Management and Leadership, Mysti has established a successful track record for fostering rapid growth in small to mid-market businesses. She is particularly adept at developing and leading high-performing teams, and she knows how to get ‘more’ done with ‘less’. Additionally, Mysti handles the company’s payroll duties and manages HR operations. Outside of work, Mysti's passion lies in animal rescue initiatives. She loves positively impacting both the people and the animals she works with.
Data Manager
Destiny proudly manages Capitol Scientific’s team responsible for all Data Mining, Reporting, KPIs, Technical Marketing, and IT. Just one interaction with Destiny, and you’ll see that helping people through data is her passion. Whether it is reporting on highly complex part numbers or coordinating a multi-faceted sales report, Destiny does it all. Her outgoing yet calming personality, combined with her “let’s solve this” attitude, comes from her time as a Customer Service leader with Tesla and having done a remarkable job managing Capitol Scientific’s Customer Service Team for many years.Her education includes technical coursework while attending Blinn College.Destiny is a proud US Army Veteran where her experience in teamwork and problem-solving pays big dividends for internal and external customers alike.
Warehouse Manager
Sean joined Capitol Scientific over a decade ago and has helped modernize the company’s supply chain process with state-of-the-art ERP technology. He’s a hands-on manager, who continues to improve fulfillment, shipping and receiving processes. He carries a wealth of information and assists in all logistical decisions and works closely with the company’s Procurement department. Sean oversees the safe loading, unloading and storage of all Hazmat chemicals and supplies, a position that requires a great amount of specialized training. He is responsible for all aspects of Capitol Scientific’s safety protocols and compliance. Sean’s expertise is shared with multiple warehouse locations.
Outside Sales Manager
Jennie joined Capitol Scientific in 2020 utilizing her background in biochemical academic research to find solutions for customers during the height of the supply chain disruption. A former laboratory manager, she understands the urgency of finding products to keep labs and manufacturing facilities running, especially during unprecedented times like supply chain delays and the global pandemic. Jennie's ability to understand her customers’ needs allows her to offer creative solutions and alternative options for any chemical or laboratory product. Jennie works closely with our logistics teams to ensure clients have access to the products they need, when they need them, and at competitive prices.
Outside Sales Manager
From the time he was young, Wilson knew that he wanted to be a scientific professional. Step one was to earn his BA and MS in Biomedical Sciences. Next, he jumped right into Outside Sales, building a dedicated customer-focused strategy that led him to consistently exceed sales goals. Wilson then brought that combined experience of scientific knowledge and sales acumen to Capitol Scientific in 2021. He continues to deliver unprecedented customer service to his clients, putting their needs first, and striving to get them the best pricing and fastest delivery options. Wilson is based in Dallas, Texas, but he handles customer accounts all over the country with a special focus on Silicon Valley.
Outside Sales Manager
Simply put, Hannah loves everything about science, making her perfect for her position with Capitol Scientific. A recent graduate of North Carolina State University, Hannah majored in Polymer and Color Chemistry with a concentration in Medical Sciences and a minor in Biological Sciences. Hannah spent time after college in an outside sales role, where she regularly exceeded quota. In addition to her impressive education and sales background, Hannah also worked in a research laboratory so she would understand the needs of scientific customers. Hannah prides herself on doing everything she can to exceed her customers’ expectations.
Outside Sales Manager
Nikko started her scientific career on the bench as a Production and QA Technician for a biotech company. While there, she took the lead and brought the company to ISO 9001 and 13485 certifications in just under a year. Nikko’s first foray into sales began at a food manufacturing plant in California. While there, she realized her love for sales matched her love for science, so she returned to her core industry and spent close to a decade at Emerald Scientific. Nikko helped chemists, biochemists, microbiologists, and manufacturers secure the necessary lab supplies to complete their groundbreaking testing and research. Nikko found a new home at Capitol Scientific where she continues to solve problems and provide solutions for all her important customers every day.
Outside Sales Manager
Hala joined Capitol Scientific, leveraging her extensive background in both sales and academic research to deliver exceptional customer service and innovative solutions. With experience as a Sales Representative at Avantor by VWR, she significantly exceeded her customers’ expectations and established key relationships at institutions like MD Anderson and UTHealth Houston. Hala's tenure as a Manager and Researcher at Baylor College of Medicine honed her skills in negotiating contracts and managing lab expenses. Her previous professional experience also prepared her for leadership within the scientific community. At Capitol Scientific, Hala’s dedication to understanding customers ensures access to their essential product needs and keeps their science moving forward without delay.
Outside Sales Manager
As an Outside Sales Manager at Capitol Scientific, Tammy brings a wealth of passion and experience to her role. Previously, she held a similar sales position with Avantor by VWR where she honed her expertise in science education. Tammy is dedicated to building lasting relationships with clients and creating genuine connections. Her customer-centric approach empowers her to consistently exceed expectations and find innovative solutions.
