This 15 x 100mm polystyrene Petri plate of Columbia CNA Agar (Colistin and Nalidixic Acid), with 5% sheep blood, is used for the selective cultivation and isolation of Gram positive bacteria, and for the determination of characteristic hemolytic reactions. Gram negative bacteria are inhibited by the colistin and nalidixic acid. It contains 5% sheep blood from a veterinary supervised, controlled herd of donor animals. Blood is guaranteed to be from healthy antibiotic-free animals. The polystyrene Petri plate features raised rings for stacking ability and prevents sliding. Packaged in sleeves of 10 plates in a 'breathable' celluose bag that prevents build-up of condensation and excess moisture.
