This specific gravity bottle has a non-mercury filled thermometer. The KIMAX® pycnometer bottle is provided with a non-mercury, red-spirit filled thermometer for facilities that are designated mercury-free. The bottle is designed with a special, medium length standard taper 10/18 joint mercury thermometer with a range of 14 to 38°C in 0.2°. It is retested for accuracy within ± 0.2°C. The cap for the side tube is medium length standard taper 5/12 and has a small vent near the top. The body is conical for maximum stability, and the capacity is within 10 percent of nominal shown on the flask. Each flask body is numbered for ready identification.
