- Cellulose support pads are used to reinforce membrane filters used with Millipore Contamination Analysis Monitors for either aerosols or liquids
- Absorbent support pads can also be used for culturing microorganisms on membrane filters

Cellulose support pads are used to reinforce membrane filters used with Millipore Contamination Analysis Monitors for either aerosols or liquids. When saturated with growth medium, these filter support pads can also be used for culturing microorganisms on membrane filters. Woven mesh spacers are placed between filters in serial filtration to prevent the downstream screen filter from "blinding" the upstream filter pores.
