The Millipore Amicon® Ultra 0.5mL centrifugal filter device is supplied with two microcentrifuge tubes. During operation, one microcentrifuge tube is used to collect filtrate; the other tube is to recover the concentrated sample. These centrifugal devices concentrate 0.5mL samples down to 15µL with a concentration factor of anywhere from 25x to 30x. They provide a high sample recovery rate of 90% or better from the beginning sample solution. Process samples quickly – normally from 10 to 30-minutes. Amicon® Ultra centrifugal filters are also ideal for reverse spin methods which provide very consistent recovery results. Recommended for use with fixed-angle microcentrifuge rotors.
