This sterile 184oz (5441mL) giant size Whirl-Pak® bag measures 15 x 20in (38 x 50.8cm) and has a thickness of 4.0mil (0.102mm). It is used to accommodate large size samples and eliminate reducing into smaller pieces. The closing tab has one round and one flat wire to ensure the bag is closed securely. Fold tab over tightly 4 to 5 times when closing (volume measurements are approximate). The white, write-on strip accepts ordinary ballpoint pen, pencil, or felt-tip marker, making sample identification easier and more convenient. The paper-like finish virtually eliminates ink smearing. The Whirl-Pak® sample bag is made of a co-extrusion of low-density and linear low-density, virgin polyethylene composing an exceptionally clear film with superior strength with guaranteed sterility. Capacity is measured in fluid ounces when the bag is closed and the tab is folded over. Volume and dimensions are approximate; bag should not be used at temperatures above 180°F (82°C). Bag can be frozen to any temperature, even liquid nitrogen (careful handling required after freezing).
